Ministry of Science and Technology Kicks off
March 04, 2014

Taiwan's Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) is unveiled on March 3, indicating the government's resolution to lead cooperation on science research and innovation among the industry, academia, and research institutes, reported Economic Daily News. MOST is the successor of National Science Council (NSC), which made substantial contribution to Taiwan's technology progress, academic research, and the development of science parks over the past five decades. Shan-Cheng Chang, the first minister of MOST, said existing policies and projects will keep going, such as "5G Mini-apple Project", which aims to help Taiwanese vendors develop dedicated niche products to accompany handheld devices.
